English Lessons 91-95!

This week I learned about Latin Roots and how many English words have derived from Latin. It is good to know Latin words because if you need to find the meaning of a word you can think of the Latin word and put 2 and 2 together.

Lesson 91 I started with the word “ante” which means before. Here are words with ante in them: Antebellum, Antedate. Then I learned the word “Bene/bon” meaning good or well. Benefit, bonus. Here are more words that I learned. ced, cede, cess, cept and cred.

I will be learning Greek Roots next this coming week!
